"Equal education" refers to the idea that every individual, regardless of their background, socioeconomic status, religion, gender, region or any other characteristic, should have access to the same quality of education. Its ultimate aim is to ensure that every child gets an equal opportunity to rise to her/his fullest human potential and is able to contribute to nation building.
This is possible only when all the factors/barriers described above that lead to inequality are addressed. The solution lies in making high and equal quality of education independent of those factors. The question is not whether it is possible; the question is whether it is essential! We understand that that it is essential and without it neither dignity of the individual nor unity and integrity of our nation can be ensured. We also believe that it is possible to achieve equality in education, with the efforts of the people and the governments.
